Location
Metung is situated on the shores of the Gippsland Lakes, in East Gippsland. Just a pleasant half day's drive from Melbourne or Canberra.
From Melbourne, take the Bairnsdale - Lakes Entrance route along the Princes Highway to Swan Reach. Turn right over the bridge and travel toward Metung alongside the Tambo River.
From Canberra, take the Monaro Highway to Cann River, then the Princes Highway via Lakes Entrance to Swan Reach. Turn Left before the bridge and travel toward Metung alongside the Tambo River.
